TSA Championships Meet

The TSA Championship meet will be on Saturday, July 22. In years past the coaches selected four swimmers from each gender and age group to participate. However, this year we are opening the meet up to any swimmer who wishes to swim. 

Please see the attached file from the league that includes all of the details for the meet.  

The meet is held at the Triangle Aquatic Center and will run with the 10 and unders swimming in the morning and the 11 and ups swimming in the afternoon. (see attached document for specific warm-up times)

This is a very large meet as we will swim teams from around the county. Not all swimmers will place high enough to earn a ribbon, and that is ok. This meet is not just about trying to earn a ribbon, but really more about experiencing a higher level of swimming that some swimmers might not ever have outside of summer swimming.

Swimmers are allowed to swim 3 individual events and 2 relays. Relays will be based strictly on times. However, we are not limited to just one relay and if there are enough swimmers signed up, we can fill as many relays as possible.

The coaches and I will send out a separate email in the next week to the families of swimmers who wish to participate that will include a swimmer waiver required by the league.  

We also will need families to volunteer to work the meet.  We have not received information from the league as to what positions we will need to fill.  We will not need as many volunteers as we do for a regular dual meet.

Also, there are entry fees that families are required to pay in order to participate in the meet. These fees are required and set by the league and are used to cover the pool rental, life guard fees, etc. The fees are as follows:

$10.00 per swimmer fee

$6.00 per individual event

Ex – If your child is swimming 3 individual events you would owe a total of $28.

($10.00 swimmer fee + $18.00 for the 3 individual events that cost $6.00 per event)

Quail Hollow will cover the entry fee for the relays.

The coaches will calculate the total and send an email to each family for what they owe. Families will need to bring a check made out to Quail Hollow Swim Club to the club prior to the meet. The club will then cut one check to TSA to cover all of the fees.

Again, the deadline to let the coaches know that your child will be attending the TSA meet is Wednesday, July 12 at noon.
