From the time my grandmother taught me to swim, my mother simply could not get me out of the pool. I was a total fish! I did not become involved in competitive swimming until we moved to Pennsylvania in 2003, and I was looking for a way to make some friends and get involved. Swim Team was the perfect option. I joined my high school swim team, and the following summer, I joined the YMCA Swim Team. I began coaching at the YMCA a year later, working primarily with the 7-8's and 6&U groups. My awesome coach taught me so much about swimming and coaching that I looked for swimming opportunities when I got to East Carolina. I began swimming for the ECU Club team, and found a coaching position in Greenville with GSC, where I worked mostly with the 11-12's, while also running the ECU Club Swim Team as President from 2010 to 2012. I am so happy to have found Quail Hollow, I can honestly say that I had forgotten how much I LOVE swimming and coaching. 2017 and 2018 were amazing summers and I am excited to be poolside again!

I fell in love with the water and swimming after my first summer swim team experience at North Hills Club here in Raleigh when I was 7 years old.  I quickly transitioned to year round swimming with TAR, Tarheel Aqua Racers, which was similar to what MOR is now.  I loved the sport, loved to practice and really loved to race.  I was quickly going to practice 6 days a week and my coaches had to tell me to go home and do something besides swim.  I guess you could say I was addicted to the sport.  At the start of high school I quit swimming year round but stayed in the pool by competing for Sanderson High School all 4 years.  Then in college I swam for the UNC club swim team. Now as an adult I carry on with my love of the sport by participating with RAM, Raleigh Area Masters, which is a year round swim team for adults.

I am passionate about this sport and what it can offer to all people.  I can't wait to share my enthusiasm with the Amberjacks this summer!

Hannah Faber Coach

My name is Hannah Faber and I am from McDonough, Georgia! My mom put my brother and I in swim lessons when I was two and on the neighborhood swim team to “try it out” when I was four. It has been history every since! Joining a year round team at the age of seven, I worked closely with my coach as a swim instructor for Swimmerman Swim School and as an 8 and Under coach! I love working with kids and babysit in my free time. Since moving up to Raleigh in 2016, I swam for Cardinal Gibbons my senior year and now attend East Carolina University where I swim on the club team. This will be my second summer at Quail Hollow and I am excited for the season to start!
