Bootcamp, sign-out for next meet, volunteers, caps, swimmer report cards
Happy Friday! We have had a great first official week of summer! School is out, the coaches and swimmers are getting settled in, and it's finally getting warm! Our first week of competition went well and we are gearing up for week 2 of dual meets. Please see the information below especially the section regarding concession stand volunteers for our next two home meets. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks!
Katie

Concessions Committee
Thank you to the concessions committee who did an outstanding job at our first home meet. For the next home meet on June 27, we will be asking for additional concession stand volunteers as most of the concession committee volunteers have children swimming in the same age group. It makes it very hard for them to step out of the concession stand to watch their child swim as they don't want to leave the stand unattended.
Also, many of the concession committee members will be out of town for the last home meet on July 5 so we need to source at least four, possibly five volunteers who can cover the concessions during that meet. It would be best if we could get the same volunteers for the concession stand for the June 27 and July 5 meets so the committee can explain the process to the newer volunteers.
The concession stand is a big money maker for the team and those volunteer positions need to be filled. If we can't get enough help to run the concessions stand during the last meet we will not be able to sell any food as a team.
Swim caps are finally in!
If you ordered a personalize latex cap or a silicone cap (these were not given the option to be personalized), they have been placed in your ribbon folder at the pool. If your child has not received a QHST cap that comes as part of your registration, please see me at practice today or on Monday.
We also need everyone to check their ribbon folder and collect any items as the ribbon box gets very full and it makes it hard to put in the new ribbons at the next meet.
Swimmer Times
The coaches sent an email after the Bedford meet with an attachment for swimmer report cards. (I have also included it in this email.) They will be sending the times out electronically each week after a dual meet. However, it would be helpful to your child if you could print out your child's sheet and write in their times each week. It is extremely important for all swimmers to know their current best times as it help to gage their improvement over the season.
