We will have a new team suit this summer. The suit picked is the Speedo ST Vortex Maze #421 (see attached picture). Please make sure when you order your suit that you specify that you are with Quail Hollow Swim Club and that you are ordering the Speedo ST Vortex #421 as there are many other color combinations of this suit.
This is a two-year suit which means if you order for this season, you will not need to order a new suit until the 2025 swim season.
Also, as a general rule, racing suits should be tight as they loosen over time in the water. It is not uncommon for girls to have red marks around their neck from the straps when they get a new suit. With time those red marks will go away. If you can move two fingers under the neck and back straps easily, the suit is probably too lose.
This thought process is the same for the boys. If you purchase a jammer that is too loose, by the end of the summer the jammer begins to look like a pair of pantaloons.
Also, you can order the "brief" suits for the boys which is what we think of as a normal speedo suit. Just like the girls suits and the boys jammers and speedos should be tight fitting.
If you would like to order a new team suit this year AND you know your child's suit size, please call All American Swim (now called Kiefer Aquatics) and ask for Barb Prue (919-439-8678). If you are not sure what size suit your child will wear you can wait until the end of the month (that is when Kiefer Aquatics will have the suits in the store) and go to the store to try on a suit. Please do not wait too far into May to order your new suit as it could take a while for Kiefer to get the shipment in from their supplier.
